I just purchased and downloaded Elite Dangerous through oculus store. After I clicked the game trying to start it, nothing happened and the home room reloaded. I tried reinstall it but still the same. I went on tried to start it using the three dot option, start in desktop mode still nothing happened. I looked up online and someone said he downloaded frontier launcher from frontier website and it worked, however I didn’t purchase from their website and couldn’t find a way to download the launcher. Please help! Thank you!
You must LOGIN to the Launcher first time. It come be running under your Oculus APP already (should be). If not then do a manual start of the Launcher in it's Folder. From that it should get you to provide an Activation Key (4 characters) which it does an Email Link to. Setup your account and get into the game settings and select in Graphics>HMD Headphones (which is your VR). You can select either VR or High Presets but most have found all on Full pushes it best except FX QUALITY=OFF & VOLUMETRIC QUALITY=LOW (raise these as you test if it stutters or loses colour). Set DEPTH=OFF as we don't need it in VR as 3D lenses is doing it for us.

I checked task manager. It is not running after I clicked start or start in desktop mode. I tried start the launcher in the folder but it first gives me an error saying it is not supposed to run outside of oculus app, then the launcher appears but it doesn’t give me any activation key. I tried log in to my elite dangerous account I signed up on the website, but it says please purchase/redeem elite dangerous. I tried reinstall oculus app and my windows system, but still the same situation.
Ah ok try going into your FD account online and see if you need to activate a Key there. I just did mine all over again and all it does is ask to Sign In (warning in VR) then sends you an Activation Code by email to enter and then click the type of Game in the menu: Horizons or other in the list. Once in, F12 is default Reset View but set HMD Headphones for VR and settings as suggested above.

I login my FD account online, I don’t have anything under my downloadable products, product key, partner key or third party account. The only app that can launch is launching through the EDLauncher in the folder, but it just says please purchase/redeem ED after I login my account.

BTW so you know, Win1903 has ruined some colour gamma ranges so White Asteroids are now grey. They are working on a fix. I wish you'd fix the System Map needing 75% Tilt Axis so we can input System Names and click so it follows it. I do think it should also AUTO-SWITCH AUDIO TO RIFT by now. Also it should RECENTRE VIEW when Starting!(as all other games do again)
