No firmware updates?

I find it odd that so many people have found that downgrading the firmware to 2.1.1 on the HMD leads to a more stable or working experience and have alerted support to this fact, even though they contend that there is no way to downgrade, and yet we have not seen a firmware update; at least that I know about.

  2. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run command.
  3. Enter C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-drivers.
  4. Open and run oculus-driver

My rift updated to 2.2. Whole resolution seemed to go wrong. All out of focus. Spent almost THREE HOURS asking support to roll it back. They refused, then wanted me to beta test for them, then offered a repair tool that was actually a whole reinstall. 5gb download throttled at 1.6 mbs by oculus. Just shit shit shit.

Firmware updates that screw the product with no way to rollback, followed by support like that has just made ask for a refund to go over to vive.
