Restart Oculus Software - Episode 2

The latest PTC update certainly cured the flashes - a brilliant firmware update that just made everything work!
Until last night and suddenly back to this:

A 'new' right controller and the 'Restart Oculus message' - notice also the half-charged battey in the right controller, with a new battery in yesterday afternoon!
Start the PC today - same scenario, restart...  Something has gone amiss somewhere.

Anyone else seeing this today?

ETA: Rolling back to the Release version appears to have cured the issue - feedback sent to Oculus 🙂

How du you "roll back to the Release version"? Just got the Rift S for my son and we keep having the "restart Oculus" message

Ideally, you should enroll into PTC (from the beta tab) as there are fixes in it that yet have to roll into general release.
This was a very specific error that was corrected some time ago (I ended up with 26 Right Touch Controllers listed before the proper fix was released!)
The Rift S currently works flawlessly for me, but the USB connector is in a 3.1 G2 port which provides higher current than a normal 3.1 USB port.
I hope you get yours to work properly - try different USB ports, waiting around 10 seconds before you re-insert the DP connector - good luck!
