Review Rift S

Hello everyone. As promised Im writing a review. It is with a huge Joy that i can say Oculus is a great and serious, company made everything possible to get my rift s delivered before time so i could have it in Portugal when my family arrived from norway for christmas. My order never stop in any step for more than 1 day. It was awesome. Thanks for your resposiveness and your treatment.
Now for the headset, Rift S makes everything feel so easy to use. Image is sharp and clear, the inside-out tracking and its 6dof got me in such a positive way. Im finding tracking só good , i havent had any troubles with it excepto when batteries ran low. But its took so many play sessions to drain the batteries. People complain about the audio, i actually enjoy it and its a good thing not needing anything inside or Over your ears(Thays my pov). I would give it a 10/10, awesome tracking, awesome price, awesome titles(oculus hás the best titles and its compatible with steamvr, to.play oculus games you wont need revive, which aint compatible with some oculus games). The controllers are by the majority of players considered the most comfortable VR controllers, and now they are upgraded. Overall i couldnt have got a better headset. It feels like you have the future in your hands.
Thanks for everything Oculus. Im glad Ive chosen rift s ???
O hope you all had a great christmas and eish you a great 2020 ??

Its funny, before o ordered it i was even watching Pavlov streams and rift s users streams and they were all happy and actually encouraged me to buy it that i wouldnt regret it. But everyone you talk with hás same problems hás you... Even Google it man, best VR headsets and get your answers. Its pointless when you are making your experience be everyone's experience. Which is not... Hopefully not mine

@GG_Aidyn18 welcome to the forum, and thanks for that review! I don't have a Rift-S, but other long-standing members do who, like you, don't have the same types of issues as some others. Right now I'm still on Rift CV1; although I do have the Quest and GO as well.

Keep up the positive contributions. This forum needs more of that! 🙂

@Zenbane thanks mate, do you use Quest with link or wireless? Seems a great deal aswell, i was kinda searching about Quest, what do you think about it? You have a great VR collection, rift cv1 must be awesome,  i was looking for used ones aswell, but there wasnt people selling it near, new ones out of stock, so i just went happily for rift s ??

No I haven't invested in the Link yet. I enjoy Quest's native mobile library. I haven't found a need to link it to my PCVR since I am still very happy with my CV1. I'm holding out on upgrading until a really strong 2nd Gen HMD comes out. But damn... I'm losing my patience!

I was asking about link because Ive read that it gives improved quality um games to headset, Ive never tried a Quest. Im just worried cuz Im from Portugal, if o have any problems with optical cable or controllers, where can i legitely but new ones to Portugal? Since its not a supported country? The ONLY way Im seeing is order to my cousin on norway and ask him to send it to me, but that Will be expensive for sure

I don't know how you have had a flawless experience as there have been a multitude of issues both past and ongoing with the Rift-S.  You are truly the sole and only person that has never had an issue with it.  Congratulations!!

Would you like some more salt to go with the comment?
Perhaps you should try reading what the OP has written?  His Rift S arrived in time for Christmas - how could he have issues in the past!
Would you be kind enough to provide an accurate citation to back up your comment that the majority has issues with the Rift S, just to back up your sweeping statement.

@rednekcowboy77, turn down the aggression. If people are happy with their Rifts, they're entitled to post a review, just as much as people who aren't, without the implications that they're suckers. I haven't had an issue with my S either but I haven't posted a review because I'm just getting on and enjoying it... I suspect most people who don't have a problem don't bother to join the forum even.

However, right now I'm more interested in keeping the forum a friendly place, you've posted aggressively in several posts recently, so please don't jump on people who have a different opinion to yours with quite so much enthusiasm. It's not necessary.

Didn't I just post google it?  I am more than happy for people to google experiences with the Rift-S that directly contradict what you and the OP are posting.

If someone perceives aggression in my postings, that is their perception, not my intent.  Simply because I disagree with someone and am not totally in love with Oculus does not equate to me being aggressive.

If you don't like what I have to say, then that is your issue, not mine.  I believe in having an open and honest community not one that is over-run by trolls and shills.  That helps no one when they are trying to solve their very real and very dibilitating issues-not to mention the fact that Oculus affiliates purposely derailing threads and posting false reviews is absolutely dispicable and sickening.

Oddly enough, so am I, even though I have an AMD chipset...
Therein lies the rub, I'd imagine those who are just getting on and enjoying their toys are less likely to come and tell others about it.
Even my posts here are not as frequent as in the past, just because I'm busy having fun
