I was about to start my 6 hours endurance race, when I was forced to update. (15 mins before start). It didn't go well. After the update my OLD oculus home loaded, and iracing can't see my rift. I couldn't start my race. 
Just saw it: my Oculus version after update is 1.20.0.474906 (1.20.0.501061)  HAHAHA

Good to see I'm not the only one experiencing the "Oculus Rift RUntime Service Error" 

Well done boys, sending out a update on Friday that broke the software for a lot of people.. On the -WEEKEND-

I've had the Rift for a week. Used it fine this evening (Friday 12/14), then it installed the update.
OVRServer_x64 failed to start after the update (Windows 7). Uninstalled everything and tried to reinstall, but that fails with 'error during installation'. Tried again with all antivirus disabled and same error.

I just did another repair of the oculus software with the installer, and it looks like it is working again

The service is running. Restarted, stopped it, then restarted my system, then started. Nothing. This is my third day with the Oculus and this is infuriating. Was working fine until this update applied. 

Same here, any solution?

one update and nobocy can use their devices...
