And the name says it:

GT (Grand Tourismo) for long VR Sessions
- New facial interface for better fitting
- Ventilation slots for a cooler face
- Better image quality with fewer distortions
- Hygienic leather pads
- Perfectly balanced weight on the head (and not pressed on the face)

And air for the new air speakers
- Hovering over the ears
- Phenomenal sound (German quality drivers)

Here's a link to my video about the RiftS Audiostrap GT air with the new audio solution on YouTube:

First I tried to use standard over ear and on ear headphones for my audio solution. But I wanted more. My thoughts revolve about something more similar to the valve index with speakers hovering over the ears. So I tested with many drivers, amplifiers and case forms. I ended up with strong German quality drivers, an amplifier with tow separated circuits and passive radiators for more bass and dynamic. The case is as small as I could get. As well as an internal design for better sound quality, while keeping 3D printability in mind. The hinge was improved over many iterations, to get a strong good feeling and firm hold. Up to details like the screw holding the speaker arm can’t get loose while rotating it.

The result sounds phenomenal to me. My daughter mentioned: “They sound like studio speakers.” A workmate says: “They are better than my bose speakers.” Admittedly it was his first impression without a one by one comparison, but they are convincing for sure! Sorry that my Samsung note 8 recording in the video couldn’t fetch that feeling.

Due to the modularity of the GT Strap, it should be easy to design an adapter for the Quest 2. Too stupid, I don’t have a Quest 2 for my own ...

I rack my brain on how I can get the audiostrap GT air to you. First I tried to sell the idea of the Rift S audiostrap GT air. In terms of the Quest 2 and the end of Rift S a bad timing. Starting an own business is hard and with family risky. Maybe I could launch a kickstarter campaign? Or I could upload models and DIY to the community like my other projects. Maybe you could help me with a donation button. But you have to 3D print, procure parts and mount it for your own. Not everyone has these possibilities. What do you think?
