Rift S not showing up at all in imaging devices in device manager, But shows up as "rift s usb hub"

I've gone through most of the common troubleshooting steps such as reinstalling and repairing Oculus. I even went as far doing a fresh install of the Windows 10 November 2019 Update to make sure something wasn't screwy with Windows 10 itself. My Rift S worked perfectly for the first week of ownership and now suddenly seems to be bricked. The oculus app seems to see that it is plugged in but asks me to restart the program over and over. When I delete the headset and start the setup process all over. It fails the sensor check everytime. I suspect this is because my computer is not seeing the Rift S as an imaging device at all.

Does anyone have any clues why this might be? Did a recent update break how windows sees the headset?

For context of my hardware build. I have an RTX 2080 and a Ryzen 5 2600 running on a Gigabyte x470 Aorus Ultra Gaming motherboard.

Look in device manager there should be 2 "oculus usb hub" to make it work, if it only shows 1 "oculus usb hub" your oculus rift s wont work

Ok, hmm... how would I resolve this? From what I’ve been told and what I have seen, there is supposed to be one thing in the device manager that says Rift S USB Hub and then a separate object in the device manager under the tab “imaging devices” called “rift s sensors” or something along those lines. It seems like the computer is not even aware there is any imaging device connected to the computer at all.

device manager only thing I have in system device is "oculus virtual gamepad emulation bus" if you don't have 2 "rift usb hub" it  wont work
only thing I get it to work to take out, and put it back in. then shows up 2 "rift usb hub
I have a desktop and a laptop I have do this on both of them
on my laptop it says unknown usb device(port reset failed) I think its something with windows 10 not picking up oculus usb  ,only had oculus rift s few days still learning never had these issues on my old rift

Having the exact same issue. The closest thing that I have done to fix is to uninstall the device in Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Devices and Printers. Then unplug replug in or even restart my pc if the imaging device doesn't show up. It's so dumb and I've spent hours trying to resolve this and it only sometimes works. I know how you feel.

Same issue. Connected to USB3.1 Gen1 port(My laptop Legion Y530-15ICH just has 4 USB3.1 ports, tried every one and tried Hub with selfpower). Just only one “Rift S USB HUB”,No imaging devices in device manager. Oculus App shows "Connected and Active",  but Headset Sensor Check fail.
Also tested by Alienware 17 R4 , same problem...v6gkv4ueq279.png71rrxmhk3qxk.png
