I've seen a few images floating around the internet today showing the Rift S with the new Touch 3 controllers that come with the Quest 2. I don't know where the image comes from (I couldn't find it anywhere on the Oculus store), but those are clearly not the old Touch 2 controllers that ship with Rift S and Quest 1. Anyway, if this is real, it might explain why the Touch 2 controllers have been unavailable, and it also makes sense with regard to one of the talking points about the new controllers; that they correct a design problem with Touch 2 (I assume that refers to how easily Touch 2 controllers break, but could also refer to the issues with loose batteries and/or battery covers). Perhaps they'll start selling these as Rift S/Quest 1 replacement controllers next month?
