library thumbnail of a automatically added 3rd party game missing (only in the desktop library)

As the title reads, the automatically generated thumbnail for the automatically generated library link of an "unknown app" is missing for me, or rather not rendered in the oculus desktop library. Specifically only for my Steam installation of No Mans Sky. Curiously in the Oculus Home VR Library it is rendered! See following screenshot:

Deleting and re-adding the link in various circumstances (for example with opt-in into the PTC, or without the opt-in) didn't help me. Also deleting the relevant No Mans Sky files in "C:\Program Files\Oculus\CoreData\Software\StoreAssets" and "C:\Program Files\Oculus\CoreData\Manifests" did not help.

My best theory so far it that somehow the link became corrupted, with no obvious way to entirely purge the knowledge of the existence of the game from the local Oculus App database (after deleting there is still record of the game existing, when pressing the plus-icon in the upper left of the library). I'd like to start fresh so to speak, as if I was starting the game for the first time (as far the Oculus Software can tell), and see if this changes anything, while the thumbnails get automatically fetched again and the link created.

Any of you also having this problem by any chance? Do you know if there is maybe a Registry Key or something I can try to delete?

Weird, even if a add No Mans Sky manually and set a thumbnail manually, this problem persists...

The Filters work independently in home and desktop app.  Make sure you select the same filters for both.

The Filters are set the same. On both "Unknown Sources" is ticked only. That's not the problem.

Well, maybe contact Oculus support.  This does not happen to me with my Oculus Rift cv1 w/2x sensors and 1.39.1 btw.

Do you have No Mans Sky too? Can you make a screenshot how it looks for you?
I contacted support, but as NMS is a 3rd party game, they don't offer troubleshooting... I should post here or on the steam forums of No Mans Sky. Both I did meanwhile. Nothing fruitful yet though. Just reinstalled NMS too. Even in a different install location of NMS, the Oculus App seems to remember this bug...

Worth noting that this only happens for NMS for me. Of all other steam games I have the thumbnail renders properly in both the VR and the desktop library.

None of the Steam games show the thumbnail artwork for me.
