ports don't match

Hi i hope i'm asking this in the right area. just got my Rift s. i have a geforce rtx 2080. neither the display port nor the mini adapter fit into my graphics card.  there are 2 ports on the card. the display port and what looks like the mini display port. have no idea how to resolve this issue. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your 2080 card has only one display port ??
What exact model do you have?

so hopefully you can see in that horrible pic I have 2 ports on the back of my 2080. I ordered a usbc to hdmi adapter hoping that will fix this problem.

That's a HDMI port - it looks like the display ports have protective grey covers over them.
