using Rift S in the dark

Hi,
Is there a way to use the rift S in the dark, I mean without any extra light, for watching a movie or something else?
yesterday I tried to browse on virtual desktop, and I had all lights switched off except the light from my Laptop.
I had no issue at all from the tracking. I could navigate, etc...
but the problem was that every minute or something the guardian was resting itself and asking for setting it.

I couldn't find out how to switch it off.
It would be great to be able to use the browser or forexample, watch movies/YouTube with the Rift S, without having the need to have any lights on.

If you want to use it in the dark, you might be able to find some infrared light sources (such as for security cameras). You won't see it, but the Rift-S' cameras are visible and IR spectrum.

I seem to get reliable tracking with illumination down to 1 lux, provided that lighting isn't localised to too small an area.

If an IR light doesn't do the trick, a small table-top light with a lamp as low rated as 1W LED should be enough for a large room. I know it's not what you're asking for but it's pretty low level illumination.

Will it work with some night light like "starry night projector" ?

And if projection image will move will it lead to tracking drift?

As I said the light of my Monitor was good enough for the tracking, only the guardian kept resting.
but what I really like to do is using my  rift s for watching movies in the night without to have any external light.

I often use late at night, my GearVR to watch some movies/series/YouTube while I'm in bad next to my wife.
For us it's the perfect solution when I want to watch something and she wants to sleep. I would love to be able to use the Rift S connected to my laptop, instead of my Gera VR.

Are you sure the Guardian system asking for re-setting, isn’t because it lost tracking? Does it happen if a light is on?

Thats the reason I mention minimum illumination really.
