So anyways for the past year and a half I have been using a PC based AI called Denise (you can also change the name) made by a company called Guile3d. So here's a brief description of what Denise can do and features: Real time graphical interface, Face recognition, Speech recognition, Text to speech, Email, image browser, media player, web radio, maps, translation, Optical Character Recognition, Google search, Kiosk Studio (One of the best out there), Web TV, M.I.T START search, SDK, Kinect Interface, there is also a brain editor so you can build from scratch or improve the AI knowledge base, you can integrate with 3rd party software and there is also E-mail/Forum/System analysis support, That's just a handful of the hundred of features and abilities with this AI. Some of the future features are Home automation, Avatar SDK and store, 3d world avatar system (I'm hoping they will support the Oculus Rift for this one) GPS, Car integration, Mobile companion, Phone answering module and also a 2nd level AI brain. So how many people have heard of Guile 3D and do people yet have an interest for products like this? I know with Siri and Google now there seem to be a lot of people getting interested in Virtual assistants but they are so limited and everything is done server side with no way of teaching or editing what they know. So what do you all think?

Also if you are interested in advanced personal assistance like this and probably the closest thing to Jarvis that we have right now you can follow development on there facebook page or website. I know right now there product is still in a beta like phase but it's still a very impressive piece of software and definitely a first of its kinds.

Thanks for the heads up!

I'm gonna need to book vacation days to try all the wild software I've been seeing in these forums. Heck, I'm gonna need a VR OS that lets me multitask all these VR applications.

You're Welcome,

Here's a video that took place July 7th at the Demo Silicon Valley Startup in Brazil. Among 690 registrations, Guile 3D went to the 35 finalists, and at the end, they took 7th place. Unfortunately it's not in english but there are subtitles. But it give you a good idea on how human like the AI is and how realistic Denise can mimic a real human being, using facial recognition, text-to-speech and speech recognition technology to identify users, understand speech questions, search for the best answers and speak aloud important information and search results.

Someone needs to sample Douglas Rain's voice and make a HAL9000 speech synth already, dudes like 85 years old now.

I would pay a lot for a personal AI like this, but..... only if it could be my medical advisor and life coach that can draw upon a ton of sensory inputs along with all available medical knowledge and experience (and learn from what other people's personal AI's have learned) to help me live as long as possible! (I know that's a lot to ask, though)

That would be an awesome idea, I think they should do that will all the great actors. They defiantly need to make one of James Earl Jones. He's probably the best voice actor in history. Morgan Freeman is another one they need to do also.
