Nintendo couldn't do thier 3DS without patent infringement for stereo3D display without use of glasses. Wonder if it will affect these other solutions.

I had one of those for my dell display, but the small company that produced them was quickly out of business. no market, bad resolution, uncomfortable handling.
even philips with their (for that time) advanced 3d tech left that autostereoscopic market .
At some point in time I worked for a company that owned a philips 3x3 display 3D wall, you could do really awesome effects with it.
Anyway, I think as long as the technology hasn't vastly improved, this is dead on arrival.

I wonder how the Tomita patent could stand when a mobile autostereoscopic display based on a deactivable parallax barrier was already released by Sharp one year before the filing : http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2002/dec/06/mobilephones.ashleynorris

Its definitely a market to keep an eye on:

The global mobile 3D shipment market is expected to grow to 547.69 million units by 2018,
