Hey there, everyone! With it being summer time, it's that time of year where we get introduced to new games coming out this year, next year, as well as announcements for upcoming projects in the future. Today was the Nintendo Direct showcase. I wanted to share a few highlights of what I thought was most interesting and exciting. It's making me look forward to getting on the Switch when these games come out!
New Mario Brothers Game:
The new Mario game, Mario & Luigi Brothership, looks like a fun co-op game. Allowing you to solve new puzzles and taking part in a new combat system against enemies. Overall, it looks like a really fun game to play!
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom:
A Legend of Zelda game where you're actually mainly playing as Zelda? What a twist! Continuing off from what looks like A Link to the Past, a strange force has abducted Link after defeating Ganon, leaving the fate of Hyrule in Zelda's hands. You'll be able to primarily use magic to fight enemies, solve puzzles, and explore Hyrule. I've loved playing Zelda games since I was a kid, so I am looking forward to this game the most!
Super Mario Party Jamboree:
Who doesn't love the days of making enemies out of friends? 😂 Well, now you can make even more enemies out of friends! The newest Mario Party has different maps that each have their own unique features. that can change the maps, even more so than past Mario Party games. With multiple minigames to play and now that you can play with 20 people online, this game is going to be pure chaos! I'm definitely looking forward to this game.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond:
I remember playing Metroid Prime on the GameCube for the first time. It was so much fun playing as Samus and getting all the different suits (my favorite was the Dark Suit). Seeing this trailer for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond made me feel like I was playing it again.
Share what your thoughts are on these games, what games from the showcase you're looking forward to, or just any other games that have been announced that you're excited to see!
