Oculus quest 2

Hey, my son brought an oculus quest 2 the app is on my phone and my Facebook account.. is he able to take his oculus to his dads without needing my phone?

Hey there, @kai.572554. We can definitely understand your concern regarding your son's ability to take the headset to another house without the phone that it's paired with. So long as he doesn't need the mobile app for anything he should be fine, though if the mobile is app needed for anything then he'd have to wait until he returns to your home to use the mobile app since the phone won't be with him. Hopefully this helps!

The main uses for the mobile app once the headset is initially setup are:

- pairing controllers (which usually you only need to do once, I don't think I've ever rebound Quest controllers after the first setup)

- turning developer mode on/off

For playing/buying/installing games, the mobile isn't needed. You can also change the wifi from inside of the headset so it will be fine where ever he takes it.

So as support says above, everything will most likely be fine.
