Why is it so difficult to get Meta support to listen to you?

Not bashing them but has anyone else had problems in the past? Having issues with headset trying to get it replaced due to over heating. It's out of warranty but it was a refurbished headset. Been off and on relacing my headsets with them. It's getting ridiculous and stressful. I got someone else's headset basically from the wearhouse. They think I bought it. Etc. But trying to prove it's refurbished. It should be documented. How can we as customers. Get Oculus/Meta to listen to us fans/customers? Because I want to get my self a Quest 3 and I'm afraid of having the same problem especially it being a $500.00 headset. It's crazy.... Does Meta support still need to work on if the company wants to be successful? I just feel like no one isn't listening honestly. 😞

Hey there, I'm gonna go ahead and move this into Off-Topic. The reason for this is that it doesn't necessarily look like you need any assistance from Support.

From my understanding, you're currently in contact with a Support agent but are having issues with your warranty. If this is the case, we're very restricted in how much we're able to assist, similar to other companies with expired warranties. We try to go the extra mile, but there's very little we can do for expired warranties.

It's ok. I just found out I'm being sent a brand new Meta Quest Kit along with a headset as well so I'm working with them right now. Thanks in advance! Love your avatar btw! 😁 I understand about the warranty thing and all btw. Just trying to help you guys is all. Sorry. 😒 Hope I wasn't sounding rude or anything like that. 😞 Just complicated when I or someone else get a refurbished headset "Even out of warranty" etc that used to belong to someone from the wearhouse. It's already busted up. Etc. So had to show proof of that etc. So things get kinda complicated from here. It was over hearing and the fan was getting hot. Etc. I just wish the Meta would check the refurbished units first to see if they work before sending them out etc. House could've very well caught fire. So it was a safety concern. Sorry. Had the same thing happen with my Nintendo Switch recently. It over heated and had to do a force shut down because it wouldn't shut off. That was a scary experience. I just didn't want anyone to have to share the same fate as I did with the headsets is all. Thanks for taking your time for responding to me. πŸ™‚

Glad to read the Support team was able to assist! Things can definitely get complicated when it comes to anything that's slightly off, warranties, refurbishments, and so on. Here's hoping this headset is the lucky one to give you no troubles! πŸ˜‚

Ikr? I really wanna buy a Quest 3 as well I have a disability and it's hard finding work these days because some employers can be judgemental. They just don't want to hire you. Blah. Lol In the US I mean. It can be rough. Trust me. I should be getting a job here soon. Hoping to save for the Quest 3! πŸ˜„ I will get the warranty for it too. Hope I can get in VR Chat again because my buddies want to hang with me bad in the Sword Art Online Argus server lmao. Anyway wish me luck! Hopefully I can play RE4 and everything else until I can afford the new headset. ☺️ My mom really loves the VR headsets. She's been wanting to try one trust me. Lol. If I get it in I can set up a profile for her correct? I want to buy her a game for Xmas. πŸ™‚ 😁 Hope I can get her the Quest 3 as well! ^_^ btw do you know if I buy controllers from the site. Can I purchases a warranty if I want back up controllers for some reason? I like to have back ups just in case. ^^ Can't wait to get back into Blade and Sorcery!
