Hi,
Since the Browser Update from 24.May 2024, the. .mp4 video textures are flcikering live fractals, mostly white.
Before the update was everything fine.
i have a Meta Quest 3
I restarted the VR Glasses and also deleted Browser Cache.

We have been observing similar issues in the Wolvic browser when playing video not only mp4 but also VP9 for example. The whole screen flickers or gets pitch black. As soon as the user moves away from the web page with the video the problems vanish. The very same APK in the Quest2 shows no issues.

Hi Users and Support Team
The problem described above is still there, also after latest Meta Quest Browser Update.
Could someone please check and confirm this bug.
I have a simple sample scene, when entering the WebXR site using a Meta Quest 3 Device the video texture applied on the plane is flickering. I doesn't matter if it's .,mp4 oder .webm.
This bug came with the latest update of the v32 Browser and is still there with the v34.
Here is the link:

I contacted Meta support several times, with no success.

BTW after the upgrade to v66 most of the flickering is gone. At least the whole display does no longer switch off and on for seconds. But I said "most of" because there is still some flickering in the browser window when a video is shown. Much less disturbing but still an issue

Hi Pelouro,
could you check the test link above? In my configuration with v66 and Browser v34 it still heavily flickers
mostly at the position between eyes and nose.

Hi! Is there an update? I have flickering with mp4 but also hls streams in the newest version :(.

Hi, we were able to eliminate the flickering by performing a factory reset on the Meta Quest 3 and, more importantly, by creating a new account. The flickering only disappeared after setting up a new account, which is both very strange and quite frustrating.

Thank u! I will try it tomorrow with a different Quest. Hopefully its only a problem on my device right now.
