How to access the Alpha channel

I'm trying to figure out how to access the Alpha channel for the Oculus client. I ran the registry thing to set the registry flag to "Alpha", but I am not seeing any difference. I have seen people talking about now seeing their hands in the client, and being able to use Touch in the client like we saw at OC3. But I don't see any of that. How can you tell if you are using that channel or not?

Your account should have access. Though you may need to restart the Oculus service to get the update. If you check in the settings menu you'd see version 1.9 if you were successfully on the Alpha channel.

It says version 1.9, but I don't get the Touch interface in the VR Oculus client.
