I was just wondering if there are some demos to try with the Oculus touch other than the "tuscany" demo. I'm used to try other demos before starting developing to better understand the whole capabilities of the device.
I'm really sorry, but seems we have a few bugs to fix first and work out the licensing issues. I'd expect this to be fixed within a week or so. For now, I'd recommend downloading the C++ SDK as the Oculus World Demo has Touch support. Thanks.
Oculus must have every email of every developer they have sent Touch to. Why don't they just add everyone to a shared Dropbox or Google Drive folder that has these assets? Seems like that would solve a problem many people are having, and solve it very fast. This should have been done day one Oculus decided to open the flood gates on Touch development?
OK, so the files are not ready yet. I'm posting a link to the in-progress assets. Please understand, this is not finished and may have bugs. In addition, we haven't finalized the license yet, so you MAY NOT actually ship or distribute a build using any of these assets. However, if you wish to start internal prototyping while you wait for the official release, then you may do so. Hope that makes sense. https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/ovr-partner-data/OculusHandDemoAsset.zip
Is there interest from other developers in a similar drag-and-drop solution for a tracking space system? As in-providing a sample material that fades in when your head or Touch controllers get near the edge of the tracking bounds. The API exposes the values you need to create this effect, but would any other developers want an example of how to do this?
