Stable 1.3 Runtime Channel?

Our team is currently on the 1.2.1 runtime and we would like to upgrade to 1.3.  However, we need to be able to remain on a stable channel (ie. no weekly upgrades) for demo purposes.  Would it be possible to have a Rift13 or similar channel (as opposed to LIVE) that doesn't force upgrades?  Or some way of forcing a user to a specific runtime?

I ask because we were bitten by the 1.2 upgrade that started occurring for half the team while we were closing our GDC demo, and overnight our frame rate tanked.  Thankfully it was fixed by 1.2.1, but I'd like to avoid that pressure if possible.

This would be just for demoing, so we'll obviously test on the latest runtime before launch!

Try this reg file to stay on 1.3.1. I also think "Rift13" is a valid value to stay on 1.3 (though you may get updates to 1.3.2 or newer 1.3.x releases when they come). Keep in mind your account/org needs to be whitelisted for this to work (you should be fine).

Ok, good to know, thanks.  So if we wanted to stay on 1.5 we could use Rift15, for example?  Or do we need to contact you for new key values every time?

Yeah, that's the value. If you already had alpha access you should be fine.

I believe it's possible, I just have to see if I can give you access. Would you mind sending me a PM so I don't forget and I'll try to chase it down tomorrow?

Thanks Cyber.  In general, is this possible with any release? (ie. 1.4?)  Is there any way to install a version directly rather than having to run the setup, set the reg key, and restart the service?

The registry file is the only solution.
