This is somewhat embarrassing to ask, but got my Touch kit today and it didn't include any instructions -- how do you get the battery compartments open? I've tried every which way but it feels like I'm going to break them. And since I haven't got past that, I'm curious how it is supposed to connect to the computer; there was no dongle in the box, so is the camera also a wireless device to connect to the controllers?
Yeah, @skyworxx is correct. You just slide it down (the outer half of the hand-grip). It may be tight at first, but shouldn't be too bad. Sometimes it helps to try push from the top.
The connection is wireless to the headset. You'll need a recent Engineering Sample in order to use the controllers. Older headsets, like DK2 or Crescent Bay won't work.
However, you probably didn't receive the instruction guide either. I can probably just post this to the forum when I get to the office in the morning.
OK cool thanks, I got it open. It wasn't easy -- took a lot of force and didn't really slide so much as suddenly pop off. I don't know how final this design is but I was thinking it might be nice if the hatch was held on magnetically like on my microsoft ergonomic desktop mouse.
Yeah, the battery compartments are definitely fiddly, I had problems getting them open as well. You have to open them back up to update the firmware / pair the controllers as well (or at least that's what I ended up having to do) so I ended up fighting with the covers quite a bit on the first day.
@cybereality I didn't seem to get the instruction guide in the box either, be great if you could post it here.
I've had issues getting both cameras to work together too. I tried the multisensorrecenter app and it seemed to work but not sure I've actually got things correct. Any more info on that setup would be helpful too.
