CV XboxOne Controller wired or not ?

According to MS site, even Wireless XBoxOne controllers need to be connected through USB cable to use them for play on PC/Win. Does it mean that Controller provided with CV1 will also require "wired" play? That would suck a little bit taking into notice some VR gameplays.

Official website is insinuating that the experience will be wireless:
"We include an official Xbox One wireless gamepad with the Rift. It’s one of the best controllers in the world, and it’s perfect for a wide range of games and experiences."

As a result of that collaboration, we’ve decided to incorporate one of the best gamepads available, a wireless Xbox One controller, with every Rift.

Yes, but it doesn't say anything. Currently a wireless Xbox One controller to be used on PC needs to be connected by wire. This is why I'm asking to get definitive answer, not guesswork from quotes.

That is definitive. It says right there, "wireless". I'm not sure what else you could want.

The wireless dongle will be in the box. But I think you need to run Windows 10 to use it.

It's a shame that these controllers aren't made to utilize bluetooth.
