Hi,

With the release of V0.7.0.0-beta run-time, some people have reported that laptops are no longer supported - is this true?

Since I updated my run time from V0.6.0.1-beta I have not been able to get any of my apps working with the DK2

Many thanks for all the replies, looks like I need to find an alternative method for the demos.

Even if you can't disable optimus in the bios you still can get something useful by explicitly choosing the dedicated card in the Nvidia control panel and switching to prefer maximum performance in the advanced/power management settings.
This way while optimus is still active it won't interfere as much.

Some apps still won't work but it's something.

Hello

As a dev i have to make presentations of my work and having a PC is really a burden. I need to use a Laptop to show my projects but cant find a good guideline on what Laptop to buy that is fully compatible and enough powerful for Oculus.

I recently bought a 1500 Euro Laptop just to hear that some with dual CG (intel hd + gtx 970M) are actually bad and cant make Oculus to work ("HMD powered off...").

So i dont want to buy another Laptop without knowing if it will work on latest Oculus updates.

Can you recommend me some good Laptop that are really compatible and will not get the same error as previously.
I need to be sure its gonna work when i make the purchase.

Thanks for your time

Do you think it will work on a GTX 960M? I know it might not run well, but it should still work with i7(4720) & 8Gb RAM right??

960m is less than a third of the speed of a 980m. The 980m is below the CV1 recommended system.

It will probably run, but badly.

The 960M can support Optimus; make sure you don't have it or it won't work at all.
