Me and Indecom4000 have made Game Maker support the Oculus Rift! Its not the best 3D engine but there's quite some fun games made with Game Maker.

Looks cool, but I wasn't able to open the exe. Well it downloaded, but it was only 1K which I'm sure can't be right.

Hey Cyber,

I noticed! Its fixed now. It was a small permission issue on my server 🙂

It's very buggy for me. I just see the game looking straight up at the sky, and spinning around like a mad-man!

That was due to how we were handling the mouselook script, it was taking your mouse position compared to the window size, the problem was that not everyone's screen resolution matches the window size we were using, so that's all straightened out now.

OK, this time it finally worked but there were still problems.

Mainly the stereo appeared incorrect. I did not see any visible 3D, or maybe the eyes were reversed or something. It definitely was not right.

There were also issues with the shadows.

But not a bad start.

I believe that stems from the fact that in the current exe above the ipd is set relatively low at .4. If you like Cyber, i can link you to an updated demo with a higher ipd.

EDIT: Link!

We have a new version online (0.22)! This demo should work much better. We've adressed some compatibility-issues and the overall experience is better.
Check the changelog for more details.
