Please! Explain Direct To Rift

So I have a DK2 and my preference is set to Extended (default). Whenever I click direct to rift the game just crashes. So, in order to play DK2 games I have to do the whole set rift as main monitor, lose my icons/taskbar and desperately try to find the folder the game is in so I can play it. Please tell me there's an easier way to do this!
If you can fix this for me, please give a debilitated tutorial on how to do so. What Rift Preference, extended/direct, if I need to press buttons etc

What is your system? Graphic card, processor and ram
I have not experienced any crashing with a GTX 580, i7 2600k and 32GB ram. direct exe works fine in extended mode for me.

You can use Windows + Shift + Left/Right Arrow to switch the monitor a window is on.

I think he is more about the crashing direct exe than the switching, although I did do a longer description of this called once and for all, how to use the rift.
It should not be crashing and therefore maybe his system.

What happens, when you start a direct exe in direct mode?

Right, the crashing certainly shouldn't be happening.

I already informed the team about a similar issue, so I assume someone will look into it.

I got my rift 4 weeks ago, I was playing all the demos just like you described, such a pain. It took me like 2 weeks to finally tweak it to run 100% perfect.Found out alot of game need to b re re to run properly in dk2. I think Direct to Rift means the game is streamed directly to the rift and extended mode is the rift exteneded thru desktop, where you have to switch your displays and such. direct to rift work awesome once you configure it proper. good luck! 🙂
