After V76 release, Quest pro's download speed is capped to 200Mbps

So after V76 update it seems the download speed is capped around 200Mbps and 6Ghz connection is unstable as well

I've tested on both Wifi 6 router and Wifi 6e routers and both performed simular result

I've also done some LAN connection test from my PC to Quest Pro

On the picture is side by side comparison of Quest Pro V76 and iPhone 15 Pro max connecting to my PC via a Wifi6e router with 1Gbps LAN port under the same internet environment

You're not understanding the issue here. I have the exact same issue and my friend that also has a quest pro has the same issue aswell. Ever since the headset updated to v76, the speed between the quest and the router (LOCALY) is slow.

If I start a server on my PC, then try to access that server with a device connected to my wifi (phone) I get a speed of 800-900 mbps up and down. But if I try to access that same server from my quest pro, I literally get 200-300 mbps up and down with a lot of fluxuation. Before the v76 updated everything was fine.

OK @Bobby_Vtb  I think I finally understand the issue here.  It took a lot of mucking around with Oculus Debug Tools (ODT) and compared h.264 wireless results with both my Q3 and QPro/rtx4090, both on the latest non-ptc v76, likewise the meta-link app.

Using the ODT performance/link summary graphs, together with looking at windows task manager network performance, all while playing msfs2020, I was able to see some big differences.

In a nutshell, I was able to measure 500mbps bitrate with my Q3.  I could only measure 270mbps with my QPro.  So, the QPro could only achieve about 1/2 the wireless bitrate of the Q3.  The Q3 def looked better with h264 wireless than my QPro.  I don't know how this compared to earlier versions because I never ran this test before.

I've always used my QPro with flight/racing sims using the official link cable connected to my z790mb usb3.2 gen2 type-c port with 900mbps Max Dynamic bitrate, which ends up producing 750mbps measured bitrate.  This still looks far better with msfs2020 than my Q3 at 500mbps h.264.  Better clarity, esp. distance clarity, and 5-7ms lower latency.  Even with Link, my QPro looks a little better than my Q3 with Link, thanks to its better quality QLED screens with local dimming.  To my eyes anyway.

My Q3 worked pretty well at 500mbps wireless h.264 but tbh I still prefer it with h.265, which at 900mbps Max Dynamic bitrate, ends up at 220mbps measured bitrate.  I think the colors, textures, and reflections look much better.  There is a little more compression artifacts but I really only notice them when I look directly up at darkish clouds (I mainly fly heli's dusk/dawn with a few clouds, in cities like LA, with lots of rooftop helipad hopping.  I've been nagging meta for 2 years to release an updated hevc-10bit, like VD has had for a long time.  Hopefully they'll come through with this, and maybe even av1, but I'm not holding my breath, lol!

Anyway, sorry it took this 70yo guy so long to figure out this issue.  I've been doing PCVR for +7 years but still have sooo much more to learn.

Yep. Having the same issue on my Quest Pro on v76. around 200+ and just barely 300mbps on occasion, definitely not as much I expected out a 2 Davolink WiFi 6e routers, my primary one set as AP. I'd like to know for others if their "Link-rate" in their wifi's settings fluctuates violently as well, never maintaining a consistent 2401 despite my PC stating my aggregated linkspeed is 2500/2500 and its suggested wifi speed test gives me a little over 900+ both ways.
Appreciate hearing from other's experiences.

Is this any better on v77?

Unsure. I'd reply with a follow-up but I'm not sure how to force an update to v77 currently.

@Nintendude64  I believe v77 is only on a PTC rollout right now.  TBH I’d recommend avoiding Enrolling in PTC because the last couple seemed to introduce more issues than they were meant to fix imho.  Of course, if you want to join the Reddit kiddies brigade who always ‘have exactly the same problem’, go ahead, lol!

Edit; my non-PTC v76 just updated from v76.1021 to v76.1023.   I’ll test this out later and report back.  Cheers

Nope... Updated yesterday and still on 200mbps.

@Alex_buka  Ya, I just tested v76.1023 with my QPro/rtx4090 wireless h.264 and am only get around 240mbps, sometimes 270mbps.  So, still about 1/2 of what I can get with my Q3.  No big deal for me because I really only use my QPro with flight/racing sims with my official link cable and can easily get 750mbps bitrate which still works better than any wireless options, for me anyway.  Still, something meta needs to address for those that want to use h264 wireless with their QPro.

Just updated to v77 and at best I'd say it can maintain 250mbps but no more.  This is ridiculous.

@TomCgcmfc It's a sensitive for me because I typically use VD and H.264+ for flight simulators.
