I spent hours trying to debug this today, but after rolling back to a previous version on the Oculus store, I'm starting to feel like something in the platform matchmaker broke. Even using a rolled back version that was working perfectly yesterday is no longer working now. When I look at the Room Debugger, it conspiciously says there was a match, but I never get the callback notification on my side. I tried rolling back to a stable build on Alpha, I tried rolling back the commits locally, and nothing seems to help.
Here are my stats: Unity v2017.3.0f3, Oculus Utilities v1.18.1, OVRPlugin v1.23.0, SDK v1.25.0.
I know I'm on a older version of Utilities, but it's been working fine for the past couple of months.
When I use my editor tool in unity to try to send invites, invites go out, but are not received on the other end either. Seems like something is stuck on the notification side?
Hi I also had this problem yesterday! My game stopped working sometime roughly around mid-day PST and didn't work still around mid night. I'm talking about connecting two players together. The matchmake worked and I too saw that two players were in the same Oculus 'room' when I checked with the browser based room debugger. The Client never travelled to the hosted map.
Seems to be working this morning but I'm worried it will happen again.
Hey it started working for me today, too. I'm really hoping that someone from the Oculus dev team can shine light on why this outage occurred. Had this happened to us in production, or when playtesting for our Alpha starts next week, this would have been a nightmare scenario.
