I Would be up and running, but every time I 'Build and Run' a Gear VR app to my Note 4, it says to 'Insert Phone in Gear VR to run app, I TRY TO, BUT it DISSAPEARS before I can QUACKLY SLAM, SMASH AND CRAM my $800 device into my $100 device! FOR THIS REASON ALONE - I have stopped all development. I am a desperately poor cancer survivor I can't afford to break my only communication device because the Oculus Player is built for inhuman aliens that can move at lighting speed. One would think there would be a custom set variable for how long the development app stays on acreen so you can put the darn thing into the gear in a relaxed fashion appropriate for expensive devices. After 5 weeks fighting a Unity bug to get my First Build, .... I think I'm out.. Its all too.. not HARD, but.. I dont know, IMPOSSIBLE. Frustrated again... Thanks for the welcome, but ... ? Impossible is as impossible does... Nothing...
Does your app show up in your app tray on the phone? If so you should just be able to launch it from there as well. I've found that launching it that way makes it wait for you to connect to the GearVR device fully so there's no rush.
