I am trying to connect a quest pro with the pc oculus app using the charging cable provided (which I read that it should be link compatible), but it is not connecting (I have disabled air link in headset) and I am trying to use Unity for developing, within Unity, I am also not seeing the quest pro as a device in build settings. I am currently connecting the headset with pc using the charging cable (usb-C), it does charge the headset so the connection is there, would I need to purchase a separate link cable in order to connect the headset with PC?
In case you didn't found out already or someone else reading this in the future: You need an USB-C 3.1 (or 3.2 Gen 1 - they renamed it again) cable. The charging cable that comes with the Pro is not compatible and you either need to buy the Meta Link Cable or any other high quality USB-C 3.1/3.2 compatible cable.
If you are unsure if the cable is the issue, you can use the Oculus PC Application to test the connection.
