Any success using Chromecast and GearVR?

I need to demo from inside the GearVR and broadcast content to a screen, Chromecast seems to be a solution: I can live with the on screen display being doubled. Anyone successful with this combo?

Works like a charm.
Chromecast leads you through the installation process.
Make shure you have a functioning Wi-Fi and the password for your WLAN.

Chromecast Screen Mirroring seems to make the Gear VR quite jittery / shaky. Anyone else experience this with Chromecast?

Yes, for me it's very jittery and causes the phone to overheat within just a couple minutes. Perhaps I have to try it with the cooling solution some people have posted on here.

This will reduce the performance in Gear VR tho and lead to a faster cool down message aswell.

Amazon Fire Stick works fine.

I can not confirm that. Ok i dident use the Fire Stick but the Fire TV which is actually the more powerful device but the performance within Gear VR is very jittery and the screen mirroing from the Note without Gear VR has a lag of around 1 second. I believe Chromecast has less lag than miracast from Fire TV.

How are all the people doing demos/reviews on Youtube mirroring their Gear VR? You see them move their head at the same time the image moves on the TV so I don't think it's recorded.
