Anyone getting ready to sell your device?

I'm just curious. I really love Android.. just messing up so bad after the lollipop update with my Note 4. I admit.. I did jump ship from the Plus cause I needed a change for a while.. and for the Gear VR. But I miss my battery life. I will very much miss this for movies, but movies are meant to be a social experience anyway. My brother has one of these as well, and with the content being updated on this the way it has been... I think I can survive without seeing that "experience" for a few weeks.

Anyone else feeling the same in terms of the Gear VR feeling like it's not quite worth it yet? It is an amazing device and I love seeing people trip out on it... and I just got a Moto 360: 3 weeks ago. I just feel like I got my money invested in a bit too much at the moment that needs a lot of refinement and improvements.

The question is not, "is it worth $200?," the question is, "is it worth the $100 you'll be lucky to sell it for."

I'm also curious .. what were you expecting exactly when you bought a gear VR ?

You miss your battery life, do you mean you had a better battery life on the ip6 plus or do you mean when you had Kitkat on the Note 4? I have 1 spare battery for the Note with an external charger, that means i have never to wait for charging my phone and can just swap batteries. That means i could use the Gear VR all day with 2 minute breaks after 3-4 hours of usage.

But cant you go back to Kitkat on your Note 4? I did the same without rooting. And you could also argue about buying the Moto 360 now, as the successor is right around the corner.

NEEEEVEEEERRRR!!! I freaking love this thing!

But...

Since i am buying the S6 anyways, maybe i switch to the S6 version. But only if its really an improvement in picture quality. I mean: "11 percent less pixelation"? What the hell IS that? Is that much? Do i even see that?

Besides that: i am counting the days till (4k)Note 5 = consumer version.... 8-)

My battery life on my 6 was probably about 2 hours more of usage. On my 6 Plus, I had about 8 hours of usage time.. minimum. It was about 6 and a half to 7 when I got it. I thought it was decent.. for hearing iPad life like battery reports. But by the 2nd week I had it... it got up to 8 and a half hours. It was truly tripping me out, and I am super OCD about my battery. I understand I can just buy one and swap batteries, but I just don't like doing that. I shouldn't have to.

I like Android a lot.. it just feels semi buggy and in beta. It has gotten a lot better since I used it on the Atrix.. much better in fact. Just lots of apps are crashing, battery life is even worse on lollipop even after a factory reset. I just miss my iPhone. I am not hating on anything here, just yeah. I miss it. I had just got my plus, then saw my brothers VR and had a bit of a nerdgasm, and swapped immediately before the 2 weeks was up so I can get a VR. But the only thing I do on it recently is watch a movie.. and as fun as that is... I'm picking it up less and less frequent.

The less frequent I pick it up, I can just use my brothers when he comes over every weekend for the 3-4 minute experience that releases for it. I don't play games much on it, I get migraines frequently so can't use it too often to be honest. And, if I ever get tired of iPhone again.. I can just get the consumer edition next year if VR becomes a big thing with Samsung and they make another one. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my time with it. It's amazing. If I could just have an iPhone on the side and keep this, I would. But I'm broke and i need to get rid of it with the Note to be able to get my Plus again. I have a lot of friends on iMessage, Android just hates me I think, and just hate charging 2-3 times a day.

Weird i cant find any battery comparison test where the 6 Plus has a better battery life then the Note 4. Besides you can recharge the Note 4 much faster than the 6 Plus and you can swap batteries, so that you never have to wait for a battery charge ever again. And after 1-2 years when every battery loses its capacity, you can easily replace it with a new one for 10$. I really cant see how anyone would give the 6plus any advantage over the Note 4 when it comes to batteries.

Coming back on topic...

I've seen several Gear VRs go on sale on eBay because their owners were selling their Note 4s to get S6s. Took advantage and bought one for around $160. The one I got was barely used, with original stickers, etc. Was worried when it would not load the SW at all, which ended up being an issue of the N4 not being inserted all the way (BTW, troubleshooting tips are virtually non-existent). Once in I was positively amazed by the Gear VR experience. Kids and with loved it too. Wondering when the novelty will wear off when most of the content are demos today. Long story short, for $160 I am happy with my purchase, but would be happier with paying less. See people paying between $175 an $200 (crazy why no buy from BB?) for these. Was willing to pay up to $180. It helps to have a Note 4 already. Would not pay $900 (200 Gear VR + 700 N4) for the VR experience.
