Hi,

I have fibre connection 30mbit up / down and no problems with speed for anything on my phone, get close to 30mbit down on speedtest app and no problems downloading anything else but from oculus store it takes half a day to download a video over im360vr, right now was trying to download vtime and about 360mb and after 2 hours only 50%

Turned off my wifi and to 4g and boom! App downloaded straight away. I don't have any issues with any other devices or this phone over my wifi just oculus store anyone have any idea?

I have a netgear WNDR3700 Router, issues occurs on 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands, tried changing channels etc but like I said, its only oculus downloads which are slow go figure. Anyone have any idea? Ta

I am having this exact same problem with my S7 edge and the Gear VR.  It's very strange.  The problem seems much worse on my home WiFi compared to my office WiFi....so I'm wondering if it has something to do with the WiFi protocols?  It's extremely annoying though, I'd love to figure out what is going on.

I, too, could not download anything from Oculus using my wifi....had to use data and increase my allotted amount. Another Verizon/Samsung plan?

That's exactly what I was thinking...however while my home connection which is very fast for non oculus apps has trouble with oculus downloads, my office wifi seems to work much faster for oculus...it seems like it might be a wifi router or configuration issue???

I had the same issue...after playing around with my router settings it recognized that the Google DNS servers (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.2.2) which I used caused the problem. After switching back to the default servers from my Internet provider the download speed is back to normal.
