Black Screen - Gear VR - Galaxy S7 - Unreal Engine 4.15

Hello Devs,

I have recently run into an old bug within Unreal Engine which causes the Gear VR with the S7 to only render a black frame. The app runs fine on older devices.

Epic was aware of this issue a while back and implemented a fix for 4.13.1
https://forums.unrealengine.com/showthread.php?121719-UE4-4-13-Black-Screen-on-Certain-Phones

We had the same issue back then, but when I initially updated my engine to 4.15, the app ran fine with correct rendering. Earlier this week I updated my Android SDK and my S7 was upgraded to Androud 24. After these changes, the problem cropped up again.

Are there other developers seeing this same issue? I feel like I'm going nuts. I have poured through debug logs but I haven't found anything which points to the problem.

Any ideas?

Few years late on this, but I have run into a simliar problem in UE 4.22   (note I am developing for Android / Oculus Quest not Gear VR but still...)

It was caused by having "Multi View" and "Mobile HDR" settings enabled at the same time.  Apparently you can only have one or the other currently.
