Good question. I'm curious how the consumer GearVR will handle different phone sizes. Because the lenses won't change, a bigger screen size will give you a lower resolution in pixels per degree. That's not an advantage, especially with the edge version that "wastes" some of its pixels for... the edge. But can the consumer GearVR at least utilize the bigger screen to give you a bigger field of view?
Best,

What are your guys thoughts on what phone to get next month in time for the consumer edition? I know space wise, it may present a concern with no SD. I'm currently trying out the edge s6 plus in gold 32gb (only 32gb offered in gold and find it way wayyy sexier). Will space be a problem? I haven't heard too much on the subject, thanks!

The FOV will be bigger on the Note 5/S6edge+ and smaller on the S6/s6edge, but the image will be a little bit more dense on the later.
Not sure if the Edge also influences the FOV a bit.

Do you have more informationen about this?
I think the FOV is limited by lenses and display distance. We have to check how they manage the different screensize.
