1: I am currently still using my Note 4 with the Gear VR Innovator edition, but on the last Oculus connect 2, the Gear VR consumer version was announced for $99,-. (From what I could remember November?) The Gear VR versions on the website are also priced to 99$, but these still are the innovator editions right? Or are these already the consumer versions?
2: Also Netflix announced their app for Gear VR, but I can not find this app ANYWHERE?? Is this also schedulded to be launched with Samsung Gear VR? or are people already using it on their innovator edition? 😮 Is it like the updated Netflix app? Integrated in Oculus Cinema? or a stand alone app? (or perhaps USA store only?)
ad 1.) All currently sold versions are Innovator editions. The "consumer" version has just been announced and launch is expected on the black friday sales day (27.11.2015).
ad 2.) Netflix app is allready downloadable in the oculus app store. It is a standalone app and not integrated in the oculus cinema (now known as oculus video). Afaik It is available in all countries not only in the US as i got it here in Austria too. If you can't find it in your oculus app then uninstall it (the oclulus app) and reinstall.
