Most people know that a website is offering the Gear VR for Pre-Order. But, to be honest, it seems they are milking the interested consumer. The unit will be sold in Korea for less than $200. But this guys are charging $270
Now, I take that the VAT tax in included. So question, If the buyer isn't from that native country, why pay for that extra tax? Or the VAT is only subjected to the natives of the country.
Is the price then what, $250? If I have read correctly the likely price tag is $188. So is the store taking advantage? This will exclude the later expense of the Sixsense Stem for positional tracking.
How the rest of you feel paying that high of a price for a "been an early bird" adopter of the Gear VR? I have a feeling most should be able to find Gear VR's much lower that what the site is charging currently, I could be wrong though.
There is a prompt to switch to the US site, but I am not sure if this is a valid merchant. Do you really want to give your card number to a merchant that you have never hear of?
The Samsung developer conference at Moscone center in San Francisco began today. Some of the VR sessions will be tomorrow ( Wed November 12th )
