hello everyone, i have a gear vr that was working perfectly on 5.1.1, but after upgrading to Marshmallow, my phone no longer detects the headset. I'm not sure what to do to make it work. Please HELP!!!
Hey there :smile: I have the same problem. I know the headset working because I connect it to my cousins s6. His phone detects it and start the app installing procedure.
Any solution to this ? I just bought the gear and it does not work with my s6 with 6.0.1 updated. Samsung is so stupid to sell a device which does not work with its own phones
T-mobile - SM-N920T - Note 5 - After upgrade to 6.0.1 - major problems.
Phone goes from 100% to 50% in about 4 hours, with NO use.
Gear VR does not work
Constant pop-up of black screen with small X in bottom right. Accompanied with the sound Gear VR makes when user connects to head set.

In summary - Upgrading the Note 5 made battery life nonexistent, renders my GearVR headset useless, and get constant black screen pop ups that last about 3 seconds.
Did cache wipe and factory reset. Twice. Same problems. DO NOT UPDATE TO MARSHMALLOW 6.0.1!!! If you were able to update with no problems, good for you. Not worth the risk of having a useless phone for those who have not.
I just bought gear vr and I have the same problem. I cannot start any apps becouse it goes to the black screen then just crashes and goes back to whatever was on the phone screen. I have samsung s7 edge. I hope I am not only one who has this kind of problems with the set. and PLEASE HELP ME WHAT TO DO! I really want to try this out.
Why these cunts have not answered this issue is incredibly bad, my Gear VR is fucking useless now! Going to ditch the piece of shit and wait for Playstation VR.
