GearVR submission status? A little confused.

So I had submitted to the GearVR store, and received a response by email that said: "Thank you for your submission. We’ve reviewed your submission and have determined we will not be publishing your app on the Oculus Store."

But if I go to the App Versions listed on my account, its status appears as "Approved."

So one of these is an error. But which one?

Or am I misunderstanding what "Approved" means in this case, and what I really want is "double secret approved?"

I had exactly the same situation. My game was with Approved status for 2 days. After I asked why it is not on the store if Approved my status changed from Approved to Changes Requested even though nobody told me what changes are requested.

What kind of a game you have?

I kind of wish they would put the submissions that are not "approved" into an experimental category or something. A lot of us want to try out everything that is put together for the platform. I miss this about the DK1 days, where if someone made something, you'd download it and try it out with or without Oculus's approval.

Oculus should give devs the option to decide, that if their submitted apps have an uncertain approval status and might only get approved with certain changes/improvements, if they want to make these changes or if their app will be released in the concepts/experimental/unfinished section only.

And the store needs user reviews asap aswell.

But there is always SideloadVR of course.

I wonder if the problem is that the people in charge of making status categories didn't think of the categories the reviewers would actually want. The email response said "Unfortunately, we are unable to provide specific feedback for submissions at this time." So it doesn't fit the Changes Requested category, and it's not Approved either. Do they not have a straight out Rejected category?
