I have used DVDFab to rip a 3D Blu Ray. I have followed every instruction I can find but Oculus Cinema says "We Cannot Play This Video." I was unable to get DVDFab to rip to 1920 X 540 as recommended (it is not an option in DVDFab), also I was only able to rip it to Half SBS, full just makes the program stall. I have done my best to mirror what is listed with the 3D trailers (i.e. saving a text file with the same filename as the movie). Below is a comparison of one of the 3D trailer codec info and the codec info from my rip. Also, I have listed the contents of my txt file. Any thoughts? Thank you
.txt file for 3D Trailer { "title": "Exodus: Gods and Kings", "format": "3DLRF", "category": "trailers", "theater": "" }
.txt file for my 3D Rip { "title": "Jurassic Park", "format": "3DLR", "category": "trailers", "theater": "" } (I tried both 3DLR and 3DLRF since I was only able to rip the half sbs)
Try another converter, e.g. ByteCopy. It is easy to rip your 3D Blu-ray to SBS/TB 3D MP4/MKV video format supported by Samsung Gear VR/Oculus Cinema. Yan can search a detail tutorial in the web to try step by step.
DVDFab works great. I've done about 10 3D movies so far. I don't have access to my settings right now. But I didn't do anything special. 19x1080. Maybe changes audio to stereo. I remember setting the Quality to "Best" I think. Each movies was about 5-7 gigs. The 3D looks awesome. Try it again with the default settings, and go from there.
I do remember I used the "3D .mp4 Default" format.
Aslo. I stopped making the txt file. And they all play normally. I put the movie files in the 3D trailer folder in Oculus Cinema. Good Luck!
