Is a Google Streetview App possible?

Thinking back to the Rift DK1, one of my favorite things to show off for demos was Google Streetview. I found that it was a great way to go all over the world with a huge database of 360 images just waiting to be viewed.

Have we heard if a Streetview app is being looked into? I know that we can use the gear to view it as a cardboard device, but I found that the images were far too zoomed in and that if you wanted to change location, you had to pull your phone out to do it.

If there's no app coming, how difficult would it be to make a sideload app that would allow a rough form of navigation without removing the headset?

There's probably a lot of resources to do this, but if you have a DK2, there's this one here:

EverydayVR does a demo of it, looks pretty cool:

Good luck on your search. Maybe they're making it for Gear VR as well?
