I am happy they are working on making it better but sometimes I wonder what they are thinking.
They added support for mkv files but not for the audio codecs most are recorded in. Who wants to spend the time converting a movie so you can watch it on the Gear VR?
The previous version said the version number on the opening screen but now you have to go through hoops to find out what it is and you are not informed when something is upgraded. The most needed feature is being able to hook up to a Wi-Fi network share to view content but the only options so far are too wonky for normal users. Once again, who wants to have to label each file instead of just selecting it.
Also, it seems to me it would be better to be able to select the file format from a drop down list instead of having to cycle through every one of the types.
