S7 Users - Have You Had The Overheating Warning?

I'd like to know if this issue has been resolved in the S7.

Thanks.

As far as I have heard on other threads/forums, S7 is still getting hot but S7 Edge isn't! Same was with S6 and S6 Edge+. I have Edge+ and I've played games for 3+ hours continuously with charging but the phone never got hot, just warms up!

I have the s7 edge and the s7 and they both overheat when watching videos or pictures or playing deer hunter. One is cooling down now.

No overheats yet....

I've come from the Note 4 which lasted about 20 mins...

Not used the S7 in anger yet...but alot cooler

Update : played a few VR games last night....for about hour and half to battery depletion...no overheating...in-fact not much heat at all !!!

My S6 overheated so often and so soon I was thinking about returning the Gear VR to Dell where I purchased it. After 10 minutes of use I would get the warnings no matter what I doing. I got my S7 Edge a week ago. I could go hours without 1 overheating warning until last night. Last night was the first time my S7 overheated but I think I know why. While downloading and installing a large movie file (Rosebud) in the background, I was playing Action Bowling. I think it was too much going on at one time and my phone did get very hot. I removed my phone from the Gear and let it cool down for about 10 minutes. After it cooled down I watch the movie and afterwards played Gunjack for about half an hour and did not get the overheating warning again.

I have the s7 and I've experienced the phone getting hot during use but only received over heating warning when charging the phone and using gear VR at the same time

Only had that when I charged it and used it at the same time!
But when I use it normal "not charging" it´s all fine!

Go to your gear menu and select do not disturb mode. It solved my heat problem. It's probably because the other apps are running and taking up resources and causing heat.

I played several vr games and streamed a bunch of videos. Took my S7 Edge from 80% to 15% (I was at it all night). The phone was warm to the touch (some would argue "cook bacon hot") but at no point did I get an overheating message.

Is there a "Overheating Issue" with the Gear VR itself and specific models? No, Any game can overheat if the devs designed the game in a way that causes it to run hot.

Now, will the S7 cause games that are known to overheat on the S6 or Note 5 to not overheat on it? I don't know, possibly.

Yes, there is - the S6 and S6 Edge. I'd like to know if it occurs with the S7.

Thanks.
