" Fallah spoke about the company’s broader efforts with VR, its Gear headset, and about the AR capabilities of the company’s Galaxy S10 phone. Samsung seems to have largely put its Gear headset on ice, as it hasn’t received any updates since 2017. But according to Variety, Fallah hinted the brand might have more life ahead of it when it comes to AR and VR, saying that “we have other plans for Gear,” although he didn’t expound further. "

I've gotten the 512GB Samsung S10+ but now I'm not sure if I should get GearVR or not, maybe wait for the above solution(s)... Still the OLED screen is simply amazing - I've never seen blacks like that - it's just totally black  B)

Has anyone tried GearVR on a S10? - How is the image quality? Is it worth using? At least it's much faster than Quest  😄 - even though you got no hands  :'(

Actually hard to show due to light reflections, but this really is pitch black, like the leather case:

I do feel an urge to strap this perfect darkness onto my face ... a growing urge...  😮

Seems like Samsung is working on a new VR and AR solution for S10 that may launch in a few months. Samsung S10 uses Bixby Vision which may support upcoming AR (camera using Bixby may identify objects in the real world). And Bixby is fully integrated in the S10. And what is Bixby? - See this video:
