I have a PS4 Dualshock 4 controller as well. I used it on my Note 5 with the GearVR and had issues with primarily, latency. You would perform an input and about .5-1 second later you would see the action on screen. I had to download an application that would force Bluetooth to hard reset (better than just turning on and off) to get rid of this latency, and it was only ever a temporary fix. Of course I never had this issue on my Xperia Z3 (hmmm ;)). Just got my S7 Edge a couple days ago and have not gotten an opportunity to try out the PS4 controller with it. I will be doing so tonight and will post what I find as well!
Hmm, it seems every new gen samsung flagship less and less controllers work with it. Makes me wonder if they are blocking them so you have to buy their expensive pos
Makes no sense, i have an S7 edge , Gear vr , PS4 and xbox one pad, Oculus do not pay attention to customers demands. why wont u allow pS4 or XBox one pad work on S7 and gear vr,?? Am a first time adoptor from Nigeria, and am so pissed, How do i spread the word bout VR when u people do not pay attention to little things like this. @cybereality
I just bought a bunch of games that require controller support and none of my controllers work with my S7 and Gear VR (PS4, PS3, 360 and XB1) is there any way to get my money back?
I have to agree that this is a very sad realization. I understand if it wouldnt pair, however the PS4 controller pairs flawlessly without a cable and is listed on the phone as a "WIRELESS CONTROLLER"..... however, without root this controller maps to nothing.
Samsung, this PS4 controller above all else should work by default, and is silly that it connects, shows a connected controller, and then is useless. Very very sad.
