So in the US and Europe people are starting to get their Note 4s and there is still no word out on how to buy a Galaxy Gear VR...

Where doe it say it was delayed? It doesn't say that anywhere. It mention speculations, not actual official statement. We should know tomorrow, since the Gear VR will be discussed then.

I'm gonna have to go with Jotokutora on this. The article quotes some random "analyst" who apparently has no credentials worth noting. Sounds like some guy who spouts random opinions on Examiner.com just so he can sound like he knows stuff. I'm pretty sure if I am going to go with a quote that was published today, I'll go with someone who actually works at Samsung:

Samsung vice president of VR Nick DiCarlo says Gear VR is still on track for this year (as of TODAY)
http://www.theverge.com/2014/11/11/7194499/samsung-doesnt-know-where-virtual-reality-is-headed-but-i...

As noted, there is no Virtual Reality session at the Samsung Developer Conference until after the main keynote address tomorrow. This almost ensures that they are holding back on all Gear VR stuff until they make some kind of announcement at the keynote, and that would further lean toward the idea that the announcement will be a big one.

P.S. No one outside of the companies involved (certainly not "Paul the analyst") knows the real reason why the Oculus units were not put out for demo at Best Buy. It could have been a number of reasons, including Best Buy being worried about legal liability for injuries, etc. You have to look at that as completely separate from Samsung's release timeline.
