Yes, but I changed it from white to black after few days. There seem to be a problem with the pen digitizer on one side of the screen, and happened in both units. Other than that, it a great handset! 😉
I think he is referring to the rumors that it will be released on the 17th.
There have been several dates spouted since last months. Best Buy workers have stated released for the middle of November, others sources for early December. If its released on the 17th, that would be cool and not at all surprising. But if its pushed toward December, I wouldn't be surprised either.
I'm not going by rumors. I'm going buy a site that has the gear vr ready for preorder!!! It says that they are currently out of stock and will be receiving inventory in a week.

I hear you mate. But c'mon $270 is crazy! I'm sure you can get it cheaper and probably not later than from this guys once its all officially announced. They are just taking advantage.
The Gear is not mainstream, so it is not like the PS4, therefore there should be plenty stock when release.
