Where can you buy Replacement face foams

I'm looking for replacement face foams, like 10 of them, but it doesn't seem like they are sold new, why wouldn't they be? There are a few sites that make "Face foam pads" for like $30 and I found a could on e-bay, can buy one at a time for like $15-$25. But wouldn't a replacement part, like the foam pads be easy for Samsung and Oculus to sell?

Not to mention a health risk of using the same eye pad with others that may have pink eye or anything?

If I am doing a conference, and have about 300 people that want to potentially try the Gear, how could I buy a couple extra pads, so while one person is wearing them, the other pads could be cleaned with alcohol wipes and dry and each time someone new wears them, they are replaced.

Has anyone seen where you can order these, like you can basically purchase any replacement parts for anything? I sure haven't.

Thanks

Hey,

Have you seen VR Cover? I personally bought a VR Cover for my Note 4 Innovator edition and it's AMAZING! It's water proof and closes out more light than stock foam, more comfortable, etc. Mine even came in a pack of two and they're totally machine washable. I can just wipe mine with lysol wipes or whatever, no big deal.

Here's one for the consumer Gear that replaces the foam entirely by the looks of it:

Mine took a couple weeks to ship, but it's totally worth it. The one I got comes with these little velcro tabs you fold under the stock foam and it basically looks like the Gear VR came like that and is absolutely fantastic. Hope that helps, maybe they can ship faster if you pay $ for it. Have a good one!

Actually that is one thing that puzzles me.
Samsung (or Oculus?) have no webshop whatsoever on spareparts of any kind let alone those replacement face foams. :?

And NO, I don't mean VRcover! They are nice and all but I'm talking about simple foam. Maybe several face foams in variying thickness or materials would be very very reasonable for Samsung to produce...

I really don't get it and have gone so far to buy me thicker foam, new Velcro and cut my own face foam. It's now a bit thicker and, what was annoying about the original ConsumerEdition foam, has no cratchy stitching on the sides.

Maybe Samsung will go full service/support on parts with the next GearVR but somehow strange, that they first had a superb Innovator Edition and then brought it down to this lightleaking, scratching consumer edition....

Replacement foams for Gear VR can be bought on ebay, atleast i saw several for the Note 4 and S6 Gear VR innovator editions, not sure about the consumer version.

But an offical Samsung/Oculus web store would be better of course.

VRCover now has replacement foams (with faux leather finish). But they are $29 for 2 pieces 😮

Hey guys, we just launched a Gear VR replacement face foam pad which costs $12.99. We offer discounts for bulk orders as well. It's made from very similar material to the original, we did make some small modifications to improve comfort.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

I'm guessing that they haven't gotten into the spare part market yet largely due to the "newness' of the product.  The typical life cycle wouldn't have replacement parts for much but warranty claims this early in the game.  Honestly they probably expect you to throw an entire device away and replace it anymore.  Not that it makes any sense, but it's just the way the market seems to work anymore.

I've been surprised that you cant buy a memory foam part. Would have though it would be more comfortable and keep it in place better?
