The Royal Academy of Art has published a big virtual tour of their recent ai wei wei show, including a version for Gear VR.
https://www.royalacademy.org.uk/exhibit ... weiwei-360

The download is a lot of files and folders, all of which we are told to copy to the phone in a new directory inside ORBX/media. Among them is a lua script that is supposed to reorganize them, so ORBX player will show them properly.
That happens on many people's phones, but not on mine. ORBX should show just one ai wei wei icon, which leads to a lot of 360 videos and stereo panoramas. But I see icons for all the files, including some things that look like video control buttons, and the movies play in obviously wrong projection. It does not matter if I put all the files in a subfolder of media, or directly in media.

So I think there is something messed up with my Oculus/ORBX installation. It is on an unlocked S6 with no carrier sim. Was installed late Nov. 2015 and updated several times since. One red flag: Oculus Home keeps reporting that the ORBX player needs an update; that update appears to run normally but the indication does not change.

Any ideas?

Uninstalling and reinstalling the Oculus Gear VR package fixed it.
I urge you all to view this great virtual tour, with perfect 3D panoramas and 2 hours of video!
