HI, this has been going on for 4 months or so. when I go to use the facebook app on my gear vr (samsung galaxy s8 plus android 8.0) the app won't open. It just blinks. I've tried factory resetting my phone and reinstalling everything from scratch and everything I can think of and that app just will not work. any ideas? and is this a known issue or just me?? thanks.. P
I found out when this happened on another app (Dragon Front, I think) that if I turned off the bluetooth so that the controller wouldn't work, that it loaded. So, now when I find another app that flashes, like you mentioned, I try that. I just downloaded and tried it for this Facebook 360 and it only worked when i turned off the bluetooth. If you go into the setting and turn the bluetooth back on and go back into the app to try the controller, it wigs out. I don't know why that works, but it does for me and I hope that works for you too.
That was a great idea, my favorite game , Protocol Zero has been doing the same thing as we were talking about. So I shut off the Gear VR controller and turned on my bebencool game controller and with that the game opens fine and I can play it. I don't know what it is about the VR controller but some games don't seem to like it but thanks for the advice I had a lot of fun playing protocol zero today ..
