Well hopefully my 1080 will be here tomorrow so tonight I think I will run through some benchmarks on my 980ti and compare them against the 1080 once I get it. Will be good to see how it compares in my own system. I know benchmarks aren't the be all end all but will be interesting if we can get the guys who have ordered a 1080 today to do some comparisons. If anyone has any suggestions for benchmarks to run or a particular one let me know. As far as Im aware there is no way to benchmark for VR games which is a shame.
Install evga's precision x , it gives you the frame rate in your monitor while in VR. I've done this in project cars with the headset on my head like a baseball cap. 😉

Cheers Mike, I was more looking to do benchmarks on my own system to see what gains im getting personally as I dont think there will be any benchmarks with 980ti or 1080 on a 3930K system, and then compare with what gains everyone is getting with regards to their system if you know what I mean. I appreciate that were will be 100's of sites doing benchmarks at the moment but im probably just excited to try my new toy and convince myself i made the right choice 🙂

Good to know I heard that FRAPS caused a lot of problems when running while playing in VR but I will give that a go, well I would have but I just sold my Vive so no VR for me until my CV1 arrives 😞
